They have show rooms on Madison Avenue, and in the Empire State Building, in New York. This well known supplier of fine china has became a division of Baum, Essex, crossroads corporation.

This piece has a Red, Pink, and White hand painted roses floral pattern on the sides and front. A delicate Gold gilt trim is painted on the handle and the top rim, with a double scrolled pattern around the applied pour spout, and handle. The bottom reads " Formalities by Baum Bros. Blue and White Pair of Asian Ginger Jars with lids

These Unique, Beautiful painted stoneware ginger jars have similar characters on both mixed with a Greek key design around the shoulder and floral designs in cobalt blue on a white background. One has thick double rings on the bottom, while the second has thin double rings The lids seem to be interchangeable and fit well on both. There are several characters on one, and one main symbol on the other. There is some flaking on the lids, but otherwise they are both in fantastic and serviceable shape.

Illinois Ladies Watch Chain Link Band

Description;
an Illinois Ladies Watch manufactured by the Illinois Springfield Watch Company. it has a metal chain link band with a double hinged clip. The face has standard Arabic numerals, and is marked Illinois.

(time line) No pun intended,
In 1870 the Illinois Springfield Watch Company was founded and established in Springfield, Illinois by John C. Adams, John T. Stuart, (a Springfield lawyer and former partner of Abraham Lincoln), John Williams, ( president of the First National bank of Springfield), William B. Miller, ( a local merchant), and John W. Bunn, ( who along with his brother owned a grocery business. ), George Black and George Passfield. They produced very accurate railroad quality pocket watches such as the Stuart, named for the founder.
In 1879 the company, had financial difficulties, and was reorganized and the name changed to the Springfield Illinois Watch Company. In 1885 the company name was changed again to the Illinois Watch Company. In the late 20's it was purchased by the Hamilton Watch Company. The Illinois factory continued to produce watches for Hamilton until 1932 (the year the last true Illinois was made). From 1933 to 1939 Hamilton Factories produced "Illinois" watches, some which were not cased and sold until ten years later.

Japanese Colorful FLORAL PORCELAIN Vase embossed / Carved Reliefl

Description;
Exceptional hand painted vase in a floral with colors of Red, Blues, Black, Brown, Purple , and Green as predominate colors. The opening is sculpted revealing a white interior. Top of this item starts with small florals that end at the neck with a brown rope, and applied handles. After a small apron this vase widens and the florals become bolder larger from it's shoulder to it's base. The subject appears to be a noble addressing a visitor with his aid standing just behind. A design repeats around the applied base in Green, Nicely signed on the bottom.

Vintage Orange Round Lacquer Lidded Box

Description;
Hand painted, stenciled, Lacquered Lidded Box decorated in a floral motif, in centered circular shaped section on the lid surrounded by six trapezoid shaped smaller sections.
The side of the box repeats these designs. the base color of the box is Orange. the inside of the box is Yellowed, probably from the lacquer. a few scratches and scrapes , and some minor losses to the lacquer associated with age and use, which does not detract from it's appearance. On the bottom appear the words, " Made in Japan' There is an oval with a K inside.
The Bente, or Bento box is commonly found in Asian countries used originally as a "Take out" or lunch box. I believe over time travelers and tourists have returned with these type boxes, and peaked the interest of artisans here to make their own style of lacquered boxes. Although the origin of these were to carry foods, they can be used for keep sake, jewelry, sewing, catch all, or simply decoration in your home.
I found no marks or signatures on this box. My best guess is it is European or American folk art Style.

This collectible series of Priscilla's mouse tales was the cat's meow in the 60's. Licensenced by Enesco Corporation manufactured in China. It is a hand painted and numbered on the bottom, ( see photo). A cute little mouse couple about to kiss under the mistletoe held by a large sewing needle, stuck in a wedge of cheese wrapped as a gift. (spools of thread are at their feet. Their long tails intertwine to form a heart, ( not shown in photo)). This piece is in excellent condition with the original felt feet still in place. Listed as " isn't that the cutest?"

1962 Pattern: RED ROOSTER by PENNSBURY POTTERY (Red Rooster - SKUS4238458G1), which is the 8 inch, ( not the 5 inch), ashtray. there are Brown & Green bands, with the Rooster in the center. The edge is scalloped, and does not have the indents for a cigarette that the 5 inch product has. The back is marked Pennsbury Pottery ( with no date). This Amish Folk Art ashtray is in excellent condition no chips or cracks. If you are a collector of this pattern this is a must have.

Royal Selangor Pewter Tankard Monogrammed

You are bidding on a pewter small tankard manufactured by Malaysia’s famous pewter brand, Royal Selangor. The face is monogrammed J. V. , SELAGOR PEWTER MALAYA, is stamped on the bottom. The Tankard is machine turned, and has an attached handle. This item is in excellent condition. It was in late 1885 that the 15 year old founding father of Royal Selangor, Yong Koon, sailed from the southeastern Chinese port of Shantou in Guangdong province to Malaya. Three years before sailing to Nanyang (as Southeast Asia was known in the Chinese world), Yong Koon was already an apprentice pewter smith in Shantou. This company started by an immigrant Hakka family from tin-mining Kuala Lumpur whose fortunes were determined by the pewter smith patriarchs and their dream to keep the business alive is now a thriving global enterprise.

Antique Nickel Silver (British silverplated) Spoons 3pcs

Description;
The items you are bidding on are 3 Antique Nickel Silver (British silverplated) Spoons. They are stamped on the reverse, JR&S, (a crown) and the Scrolled letters, BP. BP is a British silverplated mark which refers to the base metal, British Plate (a form of nickel silver). marks; JR&S, (Joseph Rodgers & Sons), registered a mark in London, where they had showrooms in Holborn, as well as Sheffield. Their maker's mark is USUALLY accompanied by their trade mark of a Maltese cross and a star. ( not in this case ). The other thing about Joseph Rodgers is that for most of the time their maker's marks are JR&S in shields of a variety of forms. JR&S made literally everything in silver, electroplate and Britannia metal. At one point they employed some 2500 people in their factory in Sheffield. These spoons appear to be fiddle back and we believe they may be about 100 years old, but we are not sure. If you have any information, please let us know.

Description;
3 unmatched Nickel Silver Plated Spoons (lot 6) Spoon A; Duchess silver Regd. 38955 BS&CP ? Spoon B; Beaver, crown, Shield w/JS&S ( please see photos). The Beaver Mark... "Not only has the beaver been used in the mark of some Canadian silversmiths it was also used by Tiffany's on wares manufactured in connection with the 1901 Pan- American Exposition in Buffalo. Spoon C; WH&SBP, slightly longer than other two WALKER & HALL, Sheffield The business was established in Sheffield in 1845 by George Walker. Becoming an assistant of Dr. John Wright who had conducted important experiments on electroplating Walker secured the royalty of electroplating for Sheffield. The business was joined by Henry Hall and became in 1853 Walker & Hall. The factory was at Howard Street, Sheffield, while showrooms were opened in 45 Holbornn Viaduct, London. Branches were opened in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Cardiff, Belfast, Hull, Bristol, Melbourne and Adelaide (Australia), Cape Town (South Africa). Walker & Hall was converted into a limited liability company in 1920 under the style Walker & Hall Ltd. and combined in 1963 under the British Silverware Ltd. with Mappin & Webb and Elkington & Co. All 3 spoons appear to be fiddle back.
